Yas Island Abu Dhabi turns purple to mark Emirati Children’s Day

This special UAE day perfectly puts children’s rights under the spotlight.

Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, has lit up in purple to mark Emirati Children’s Day on 15th March 2021.

Now in its fourth year, Emirati Children’s Day was adopted to coincide with the launch of the Wadeema Law on 15 March 2016.

The special day aims to raise awareness on safeguarding children’s rights so that they can grow in a healthy, safe and supportive environment that assists their development.

To support the cause and demonstrate Yas Island’s commitment to a safe and entertaining destination for children, a wave of purple enveloped attractions across Yas Island.

Buildings that lit blue include Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, CLYMB  Abu Dhabi, Yas Plaza Hotels, as well as Etihad Arena and W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island.
