This gooey piece of sweetness from the US has been filling us up for 20 years, including here in Abu Dhabi
You’ve probably already guessed by the photo, the gooey piece of sweetness we’re talking about is Cinnabon no less. And what’s even more sweet is this rather sticky and delicious brand opened its first ever store in the UAE right here in Abu Dhabi 20 years ago.
Cinnabon has been around a lot longer of course, first opening in 1985, in Seattle, the United States. The bakery headed to Abu Dhabi in 2001 before expanding to 31 outlets across the UAE, including in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and Ajman.
We’re a hungry lot in the UAE and according to the Cravia Group, the parent company behind Cinnabon here in the UAE, we’ve chomped on an estimated more than 40 million rolls in 20 years. That’s a lot of rolls!
Cravia Group, which also has Seattle’s Best Coffee, Zaatar w Zeit and Five Guys on its portfolio, is also celebrating its 20th anniversary here in the UAE.
We wish both the Group and Cinnabon a fabulous birthday. Now we’re off to sample some!
