Have you noticed anything new about the Al HOSN app?
Those who have recently received a negative PCR test will see that Day 0 has been replaced by hours.
It is believed the changes have been implemented to avoid confusion for passengers landing at Abu Dhabi International Airport where negative PCR tests previously registered as Day 0.
The system update follows last week’s move by The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) to introduce a new process to verify international vaccination certificates to support the green pass initiative on the app.
Travellers are able to register their vaccination certificate or vaccination exemption document for verification five days before they travel to Abu Dhabi online via Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) or the ICA smart app.
Applicants will receive a SMS confirmation that will include a link to the Al Hosn app which needs to be downloaded prior to landing at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Travellers will receive their Unified ID number from airport immigration or via the ICA Smart app which will then be used to complete the registration on the aforementioned app.
