Abu Dhabi just got a new promenade and it’s stunning!

This is a great place for walkers, cyclers or those just wanted the prefect view of the mangroves.

Al Gurm Corniche is finally open.

Okay, when we say ‘new’ we mean revamped, but actually, when you see it, it really is completely different with its circular wooden seating areas and wide walkways.

According to reports in the national press, the redevelopment has taken two years to complete.  It is worth the wait though, as there are rest areas, exercise and leisure opportunities, telescopes and reading nooks.

There is even a history-themed zone that tells the story of modern Abu Dhabi.

Now you can walk or cycle alongside the beautiful Mangrove National Park, watch the sunset, or catch up on some reading time by the water.

The Corniche was inaugurated by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), it was announced.

Located along Salim Street in the Eastern Mangroves area of the capital, Al Gurm Corniche is open to the public 24/7 and is free to access.
