Private and public school pupils in Abu Dhabi are heading back to the classroom

Schools opted for online classes for the first two weeks of the new 2021 term.

Schools in Abu Dhabi will open their doors for face-to-face teaching from 17 January.

This was confirmed by the “Department of Education and Knowledge, Abu Dhabi’s private education regulator, to The National on Wednesday that in-person lessons would resume after schools adopted distance learning for the first two weeks of the new term.”

In December, The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, approved remote learning for the first two weeks of the new school term, which started 3 January 2021, for all students at both public and private schools in the emirate.

The decision was made to protect the health and safety of students, teachers and school staff.
