The UAE 49th National Day celebrations did not fail in offering hope for the future, based on the great achievements of the past 50 years in the UAE.
The highlight, of course, was the ‘Seeds of the Union’, a spectacular show involving a revolving white cube set in the middle of the mangroves, on Jubail Park. If you missed that, you can now visit it to find out more.
The burning (pardon our pun) question, though, is… will there be fireworks in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Eve to welcome in 2021?
Abu Dhabi government have already said that activities are set to resume very soon, with precautionary measures still firmly in place for our safety.
It is safe to say, then, that there will be fireworks this year, but we are still waiting for that official announcement.
According to the Sheikh Zayed Festival website, a firework show will take place there on New Year’s Eve. The Festival runs until February 25.
We are also expecting a number of hotels in the capital to be providing a fabulous display of fireworks as the bell strikes midnight to take us into 2021.
So, where will those elusive and much sought-after firework shows be to welcome in 2021? Watch this space, as soon as Team Yalla knows, we will let you know.
