Abu Dhabi foodies here’s something on the menu that you’re simply going to love.
It’s no secret that the UAE is simply filled with talents working their skills in kitchens across the UAE, not least here in Abu Dhabi.
And a new initiative by Abu Dhabi Culinary aims to capture all that tasty goodness in an innovative series entitled The Food Forward Series, which aims to put the spotlight on an exciting line-up of collaborations between renowned local and international chefs and popular dining establishments.
The series is set to roll out for an entire year, with Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers being the launchpad for the initiative from 1 to 10 July.
Chef-and-restaurant culinary tour de force, UAE affiliated Chef Reif Othman collaborating with Emirati Chef Faisal Alharmoodi, are set to take over the hotel’s award-winning Tori No Su, for 10 show-stopping days of signature curations and vibrant dishes.
Chef Reif Othman, renowned for his unconventional take on Far Eastern fare, is inspired by both Japan and his country of origin, while also fusing French and Italian culinary techniques.
This exciting partnership with fellow gourmand Chef Faisal is set to elevate the city’s dining scene with an exclusive line up of menu offerings, including street food dishes, signature plates and delectable desserts.
What’s on the menu?
It goes without saying that foodies won’t be disappointed with the specially curated dishes, including wagyu tataki with truffle ponzu, seared Scottish salmon, braised onion & lemon ponzu.
Not to mention sumptuous oven baked baby chicken with spicy teriyaki and more. And for the sweet lovers there’s a decadent praline chocolate or pistachio cake.
Chef Alharmoodi, who is renowned for fusion dishes such as camel lasagna and samosa burrata, said: “As a truly homegrown chef and long-time admirer of Chef Othman’s culinary expertise and unrivalled ability to conceptualise unique restaurant offerings, I am thrilled to be collaborating with him for the inaugural Food Forward.
“Together we will take diners on a culinary journey which traverses tastes and flavours of the Mediterranean and recipes and culinary traditions from the Far East.”
Chef Reif Othman is equally as excited to be part of the series, and joining forces with Chef Faisal.
Chef Reif Japanese Kushiyaki and Kushi by Reif concepts, as well as prior associations with award-winning restaurants, have made him one of the most in-demand chefs in the UAE restaurant scene for several years.
