Baltic Sea Philharmonic perform at Emirates palace

The Baltic Sea Philharmonic has performed in the most prestigious concert halls (e.g. Elbphilharmonic Hall Hamburg) and festivals, and with the world’s leading artists, from Gidon Kremer and Julia Fischer to Jonas Kaufmann and Kurt Masur.

Bringing together musicians from 10 Baltic Sea countries, the orchestra is a beacon of international understanding.  The Baltic Sea Philharmonic will transform Emirates Palace with lighting, sound design and cutting-edge projection art to create a world that’s visual as well as musical.

They will perform music including Philip Glass’s Aguas da Amazonia and his Violin Concerto No. 2 ‘The American Four Seasons’ – with Russian violinist Mikhail Simonyan as the soloist – and a supercharged version of Handel’s Water Music. Three members of the New York based Absolute Ensemble will join the tour.
