The biggest community park in Abu Dhabi is now open to the public at Masdar City
There’s a new community space in town, and it’s the biggest community park in Abu Dhabi!
Masdar Park now open to the public at Masdar City boasts 20 hectares containing green spaces, sports courts, playgrounds, running and cycling tracks among other attractions.
The largest project of its nature for Masdar City, the community park naturally has several sustainable features including its use of recycled materials. The park is powered by 340 solar panels, capable of generating over 300 megawatts of solar energy annually.

Additionally, Masdar Park will use liquid nano-clay in the pump track which will further aid the city’s water conservation. That aside, the community park has facilities for volleyball, badminton, padel ball, and basketball, alongside a pump track and a 5km running and cycling track.
The opening of the space was marked by hosting ‘The Festival’, a free public event. Recently concluded, it included a ‘green’ circus parade, interactive light installations, and creative workshops for all ages.
The park already has an ‘Exemplar’ certification under the Estidama Public Realm Rating System used in Abu Dhabi and is home to the Estidama Mosque. Visit soon!
