Amazon University Esports Masters MENA Series to take place in Abu Dhabi in July

The finals will be broadcast live.

University students in Abu Dhabi have super gaming action to look forward to this July with the Amazon University Esports Masters MENA Series (Amazon UEM).

Hosted at Pixel Gaming’ headquarters in the capital, the first edition of the competition in the region will see university gamers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco and the UAE descend on Abu Dhabi to compete for the titles of League of Legends and VALORANT.

Taking place from 14 to 17 July, teams will battle it out for eight places at the Amazon UEM MENA grand finals in qualifiers taking place this month.

Not only will teams be able to call themselves champions of the MENA region, they will have an opportunity to take home a prize pool of $10,000 ($5,000 for each competition).

And what’s more these finals will be broadcast live in both English and Arabic.

Speaking on the event, Mario Pérez, MENATech Entertainment’s CEO, said; “We can only thank our partners, Amazon, and Riot Games, who have helped us make the dream of all gamers in the region possible.

“These finals, and other events to be announced in the next few months, are just the beginning of a beautiful story that we will build together with one goal: turning MENA into a point of reference in the esports ecosystem worldwide.”
