Immerse yourself in the vibrant and captivating performances of open mic night
As it marks its second decade, the poetry open mic night that has been running the longest in the Middle East is contributing to the growth of the performing arts scene in the UAE.
Attendees can enjoy original works from prominent and emerging spoken word artists, poets, and musicians who represent a variety of cultures.
The event offers both open mic sessions and poetry slam competitions, with Rooftop Rhythms being led by its founder, Dorian Paul Rogers, Ed.D.

In collaboration with The Arts Centre at NYU Abu Dhabi and with the backing of the US Mission to the UAE, Rooftop Rhythms is dedicated to promoting the work of artists who are based in the local community.
To nurture homegrown talent, the event organizers request that all performers showcase their own original material, regardless of the language used.
