World’s best athletes vie for AED 5.6 million in prizes at Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour finale

Star athletes like Tácio Carneiro, Lucas Protásio and Julia Alves to headline three-day event at Mubadala Arena

Jiu-jitsu superstars around the world are making their way back to Abu Dhabi for the final leg of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour 2022-2023 (ADGS – Abu Dhabi), happening 5-7 May at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City.

After hosting the AED 1 million Jiu-Jitsu President’s Cup, Abu Dhabi now puts up a whopping prize fund of around AED 5.6 million ($1,525,000) for the ADGS event, and you can bet these world-class athletes are bringing their A-game to UAE capital.

Following thrilling stops in Rio, Miami, Sydney, and London, the ADGS is wrapping up an exciting action-packed season with a grand finale in the UAE capital. The competition is open to players from clubs and academies all over the world!

Star athletes like Tácio Carneiro, Lucas Protásio and Julia Alves are among the sport’s biggest names who will battle it out on the mats.

Organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) and Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro (AJP), the event will kick off with the kids and youth categories on day one, followed by masters on day two, and wrapping up with professionals on the third day.
