DATE & TIME

Award-winning musical to premiere at Etihad Arena in January 2024

Worried about missing out on the biggest Broadway debut in the Middle East? Rise up! For there’s an additional week of shows coming.

Producers Jeffrey Seller and Michael Cassel have announced an extended run of the award-winning musical Hamilton in Abu Dhabi.

Originally slated to close by 4 February, the curtains will now stay open until 11 February 2024. Tickets for the newly announced performances will go on sale on 9 October 2023, but you can sign up for the waitlist and get your hands on the pre-sale tickets available from 5 October.

The groundbreaking musical, which features a distinctive blend of hip-hop, R&B, pop and soul to tell the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton, will make its Middle East premiere on 17 January 2024 at Etihad Arena.

Apart from Abu Dhabi, the international tour, which is currently playing on London’s West End, will visit multiple countries, with confirmed shows in New Zealand and the Philippines.

The Tony, Grammy, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize-winning show is a sung-and-rapped-through musical with music, lyrics and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

With Hamilton still months away, there are plenty of captivating experiences to indulge in across Abu Dhabi, including a Guns N’ Roses concert at Etihad Arena, the International Indian Film Academy Concert (IIFA 2023) also at Etihad Arena, and even the return of the Abu Dhabi Summer Sports at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
