The owner and head chef of Michelin-starred restaurant The Customs House will be in the capital from 12-16 April
Ramadan is taking on a Michelin-starred avatar at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island.
Prepare to have your Iftars don gourmet notes with the arrival of Ahmet Dede, owner and head chef of Dede at The Customs House. The talented chef is renowned for his Michelin-starred Turkish restaurant based in Baltimore, West Cork, Ireland, and will now bring some of that magic to Abu Dhabi.
The exclusive collaboration will run from 12-16 April, with Chef Ahmet cooking up a range of his famed Turkish cuisine alongside Chef Okky and his culinary team at Garage. The Iftar spread is definitely one you wouldn’t want to miss, offering a wide range of delicacies across the five hubs.

Inspired by his mother’s food, Chef Ahmet Dede has cut his teeth in some of Ireland’s best restaurants. Since opening The Customs House in 2020, his cooking has focused on making use of hyper-seasonal local produce, leading to the coveted Michelin star in 2021.
Another focal point of his cooking is exploring local delicacies while also paying homage to his heritage by expertly fusing locally sourced ingredients with an array of spices from his homeland.
Boasting a menu that is jam-packed with flavoursome creations, including Mushroom Cookie, Manti Lobster, BBQ Cod, Ottoman Style Rack of Lamb, Blood Orange and Cardamon Turkish Delight, and much more, discerning foodies will be spoiled for choice throughout the talented chef’s stay.
Luckily for diners, the venue will also match the majesty of the chef’s brilliance as W Abu Dhabi is located on the iconic Yas Island, perfectly situated on the golden shores of the UAE capital.
