Padel fans, get your racquets ready. The World Padel Tour (WPT) is coming to Abu Dhabi for the first time ever.
When, you ask?
From 21 February to 26 February, the capital will be hosting the Abu Dhabi Padel Master tournament in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT – Abu Dhabi) and property developer Modon.
The tournament draws 128 top-ranked padel players to compete in the main competition from 21-26 February, whereas the qualification round takes place from 18 to 20 February at Hudayriat Island.
The Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master tournament 2023 is the only master category in the World Padel Tour, exclusively held in the Middle East for the next five years. Wowza!
The Modon Abu Dhabi Padel Master tournament’s also WPT’s top category tournament with a total prize money of – wait for it – over AED 1.5 million (€450,000), the highest amount ever awarded in a WPT tournament.
