Bibliophiles and culture enthusiasts, you will need to clear your calendar as the Arab world’s leading literary event opens in Abu Dhabi later this month.

World-renowned authors, publishers, artists and literary icons from around the globe will once again gather in the UAE capital for the 32nd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, taking place 22-28 May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Abu Dhabi certainly knows how to cater to literature lovers with a diverse array of offerings, making it a paradise for book lovers. Alongside the prestigious Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, the city also welcomes another exciting literary attraction: Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair, will dock in Abu Dhabi as part of a three-city visit to the UAE.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, this year’s edition will focus on sustainability, in line with the UAE’s declaration of 2023 as the ‘Year of Sustainability.’

There’s plenty to do and enjoy at the book fair with activities such as workshops, cultural exchange, poetry nights and even competitions spread across five primary programme types: cultural, creative arts, children and youth, specialised professional and partner programmes.

The book fair will also debut the ‘Podcast Abu Dhabi’ platform at this year’s event.
