Strong local interest in IMMAF World Championship
The Mubadala Arena at Zayed Sports City has come alive this week as participants from all over the world have travelled to Abu Dhabi to compete in the IMMAF Youth World Championships, which began yesterday 2 August 2023.
The event, hosted by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation for the second consecutive year, takes place over three days in the capital.

The MMA extravaganza features participants from 46 countries. The competition is witnessing strong participation from the UAE national team, which is taking part in the competition for the second time.
Hopes are high that the UAE team can deliver on their potential and compete against the most formidable of teams at the tournament.
The championships will also provide an opportunity for Abu Dhabi to showcase its increasing ability to host such prestigious events.
