Everyone’s favourite Netflix dad is the latest to join the Comic Con’s stellar line-up in Abu Dhabi.
It’s shaping up to be an exciting time in Abu Dhabi, with world-class events across fitness, entertainment, music, and movies coming up in the weeks ahead! And one of the most highly anticipated ones from the lot is the upcoming Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC).
From comics and anime to gaming or anything pop-culture related, it’s that time of the year when ‘geeky’ knowledge earns you a lot of cool points! Add to that a stellar line-up featuring some of the most trending artists and legendary actors, and you have fans queuing up like never before.
From 3-5 March at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), you can catch some of the biggest names at the 11th MEFCC, interact with them, and even get some autographs or photos!
And the latest addition to the line-up will definitely have you reaching out for Eggos. Chief Hopper, the lovable dad from Netflix hit Stranger Things, played by David Harbour is coming to town!
Also famous as the MCU’s Red Guardian, the star is sure to be plagued by a thousand questions around the Stranger Things’ ending, or maybe even about his tryst with everyone’s favourite Captain America.
He’ll be joined by co-star Vecna, played by the frighteningly talented Jamie Campbell Bower. With several major roles in Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Mortal Instruments under his belt, this is one actor with a foot in all major fantasy universes. We can’t wait to pick his brain about everything he’s seen!
The line-up also features major bigwigs of the industry including Andy Serkis aka Gollum from the Lord of the Rings series, Anthony Daniels, infamous for playing the C-3PO droid among all Star Wars fans, and May Calamawy, bringing in that MCU representation.
But the MEFCC line-up hype doesn’t end here!
Remember the sweet-voiced Belle from Beauty and the Beast? Well, you can catch Paige O’Gara, the actor who brought her to life at MEFCC! Or you might want a chat with Zach Aguilar (known for voicing Tanjiro Kamado or Demon Slayer and Aether of Genshin Impact), Ken Lashley, the comic book artist behind many DC and Marvel popular titles, Ryan Ottley, the comic book artist behind Marvel titles such as The Amazing Spider-Man and Hulk and so many more!
