Abu Dhabi set to host sustainability themed event

Great Audit Minds in Abu Dhabi

Cutting-edge issues such as artificial intelligence, innovation, sustainability, environmental, social and governance will be explored

History will be created in Abu Dhabi this November as the city plays host to the Great Audit Minds (GAM) conference for the very first time.

It is a watershed moment for the event as it has resided in the US for 44 years. However this is about to change on November 6 to 8 at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island as business leaders converge to discuss sustainability topics.

To mark ‘Year of Sustainability’ and the hosting of COP28 later in the year, the GAM Conference will focus on the importance of making efforts towards reaching the goal set by Paris Agreement of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

The conference has been labelled ‘Igniting Thinking of Sustainability’ and the event is expected to bring together more than 1,300 industry leaders, decision-makers, and influencers from across the globe.

Modern topics around sustainability are set to be explored by top business and thought leaders who will investigate and discuss pressing issues such as artificial intelligence, innovation, sustainability, environmental, social and governance.

This latest event added to the Abu Dhabi calendar once again illustrates the city’s growing reputation as a global and international destination. The capital has been ranked first in the region for attracting the highest number of in-person meetings organised by international associations in 2022.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability are becoming increasingly important topics in the business world. In the year of COP28, hopefully the forthcoming conference will raise more awareness about climate change and go someway to achieving the objective set out by the Paris Agreement.
