Playing outside the country for the first time, football fans in the UAE capital will not be able to keep calm.
We know, we can’t believe it too.
Coming to Abu Dhabi on 20 January, the Argentine Super Cup is playing outside their country for the first time!
League champions Boca Juniors are all set to face off against Champions Cup-winning Racing Club at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, according to the country’s football association (AFA).
Following the friendly match between Argentina and the UAE teams before the World Cup 2022, the AFA and Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) signed a four-year partnership in June 2022 to have a series of football events between both countries.
Essentially, it’s safe to assume things are about to get really exciting for football fans in the capital.

“After the first successful experience of Argentina’s last friendly match with the United Arab Emirates National Team just before the start of the World Cup, the ADSC and the AFA continued their plans to strengthen football and sporting ties with the organisation of the Argentine Super Cup Final 2022 agreed for Friday 20 January 2023,” AFA said in a statement.
The Boca Juniors are back to reclaim their champion spot, while the Racing Club will attempt to validate being the team that finished first in points the whole year. For this nail-biting a match, the rush to grab tickets will definitely be insane, so be sure to watch this space for more details!
