Brighton College Abu Dhabi celebrates stellar GCSE results, with Grade 9s leading the way

 

Brighton College Abu Dhabi is buzzing with excitement as their students deliver another year of outstanding GCSE results.

This year, 23 per cent of the students secured the top Grade 9, making it the most common grade at the school.

The numbers speak for themselves:

43 per cent of students achieved Grades 9-8 (A*), 63 per cent secured Grades 9-7 (A*-A), 78 per cent received Grades 9-6 (A*-B), and a whopping 91 per cent attained Grades 9-5 (A*-B/C).

These incredible results are a testament to the school’s commitment to providing top-notch academic support and inspirational teaching, coupled with the exceptional effort and dedication of the students.

The success of Brighton College Abu Dhabi’s students spans across a wide range of subjects.

In Modern Foreign Languages, 84 % per cent of GCSEs were awarded Grades 9 or 8, with a stunning 67 per cent of grades in Mandarin hitting the top Grade 9.

The Separate Sciences also saw stellar performances, with 60 per cent of grades at 9 or 8.

Half of all grades in Further Mathematics were a perfect 9, and in the Humanities, 83 per cent of grades were awarded at 9-7 (A*-A).

– Margaux Spitz: 8 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s

– Maya Talaat: 5 Grade 9s and 5 Grade 8s

– Aya Mikati: 5 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s

– Maria Shanwar: 6 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s

– Shamma Aljeaidi: 6 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s

 

Jennifer Walters, Head of Senior School at Brighton College Abu Dhabi, shared her pride:

“After last week celebrating our pupils’ outstanding A Level achievements, I am thrilled to comment on the achievement of Brighton College pupils in their GCSEs.

“ Our pupils have returned a wonderful set of GCSE results, and I am delighted that all their efforts and the support of their parents and teachers has been rewarded.

“I am exceptionally proud of everything that has been achieved and would like to both congratulate and thank our pupils for the endeavour, determination and resilience they have demonstrated over many months of learning and study.

“We now look forward to welcoming Year 11 to the Sixth Form and wish them all the best for their future study.”
