UAE schools mark record-breaking A-Level and BTEC results in 2024

Students across the UAE achieve their best-ever A-Level and BTEC results, with top grades paving the way to prestigious global universities

 

The moment has arrived for A Level students and schools across the UAE; A Level and BTEC results are in.

As schools proudly share their achievements, students and educational leaders are celebrating what has been a particularly successful year, with some schools achieving their best-ever results.

 

The British School Al Khubairat (BSAK)

 

BSAK is once again celebrating outstanding results, with the 2024 A-Level and BTEC outcomes marking the highest percentages of A* and A*-C grades in the past seven years, excluding the pandemic. This year, 131 Year 13 students at BSAK completed 356 A-Level qualifications and 23 Level 3 BTEC Diplomas, yielding exceptional results.

An impressive 43% of all A-level grades were awarded at A* or A, 70% at A*-B, and 90% at A*-C, with an overall pass rate of 99%. These statistics include 85 A* grades, highlighting the dedication and hard work of the students. The vocational BTEC courses also excelled, with 93% of grades being at Distinction* or Distinction level.

The school is particularly proud of the 26 students who achieved three or more straight A*/A grades, including five students who earned three straight A* grades and four students who achieved four straight A/A grades. These exceptional results have opened doors for BSAK students to attend some of the most prestigious universities around the world.

 

The British International School Abu Dhabi

Students at The British International School Abu Dhabi have once again performed exceptionally well in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, with results significantly above the global average.

A total of 76 students took the IB exams this year, achieving an average score of 33.4, well above the worldwide average of 30.32. Notably, two students ranked among the top 1% of performers globally, with a near-perfect score of 44.

Principal Alan Cocker expressed his pride, saying, “After 11 years of offering the IB Diploma Programme, we continue to show our commitment to the principles of an IB education. It is a challenging course that broadens students’ understanding, curiosity, sense of worth, and wider commitment to the world they live in. I am incredibly proud of the students’ achievements this year and look forward to learning about their next steps as they enter the next phase of their chosen path. It’s so pleasing to see them fulfilling their dreams, whether at Oxford and Cambridge or closer to home with Khalifa University. Our Class of 2024 students have succeeded.”

Repton Abu Dhabi

 

 

Repton Abu Dhabi’s A-Level cohort has achieved exceptional results, with 39% of exam entries awarded A*-A grades. Meanwhile, Repton Dubai students also accomplished stellar results, with 17% of exam entries achieving A*-A grades.

Students from both campuses have received offers from prestigious universities worldwide, including The University of Durham, The University of Bristol, King’s College London, and The University of San Diego.

 

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi

 

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, known for its nurturing environment, has announced its 2024 A-Level results, reflecting the dedication and hard work of both students and staff. This year, the A-Level cohort of 189 students achieved impressive results, with 13% of exam entries graded A*, 42% achieving A*-A, 88% earning A*-C, and an overall pass rate of 99%.

 

GEMS Education

 

This year marks the biggest year for GEMS Education A-Level results in the organisation’s 65-year history. Nearly 1,900 GEMS students from 22 schools across the UAE and Qatar sat for 5,000 A-Level exams.

Of these, 26% of all entries achieved A* to A grades, and 52% recorded A* to B grades. At Jumeirah College, 14% of entries were awarded the top A* grade, with 80% achieving A* to B grades.
