A student from the British International School Abu Dhabi has been recognised with the highest global score in IGCSE Business Studies for 2025
A Year 12 student, Wadeed, from the British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) has achieved global recognition after earning the highest mark in the world for IGCSE Business Studies in 2025.
Scoring 149 out of 160, Wadeed attributes his success to steady effort, curiosity, and a focus on continual improvement.
In Year 10, he admits he struggled with confidence and exam technique, but by refining his approach through structured answers, active recall, and examiner feedback, his performance steadily improved.
“I never imagined I’d get the highest mark in the world,” he says. “I just wanted to improve.”

His Business Studies teacher, Ms Chowdhury, recognised his potential early on.
“He was curious and thoughtful,” she recalls. “We worked together to help him connect theory to the real world.”
Now in Year 12 and studying IB Business Management at Higher Level, Wadeed is looking ahead to future business possibilities while sharing study tips with younger students, including his sister.
Congratulations Wadeed!
