Brilliant results achieved by IBDP students at The British International School Abu Dhabi

The school’s results are significantly higher than the global average.

The release of the results for the 2022 International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) has seen a stunning set of results awarded to students at The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi).

The students’ performance was significantly higher than the global average with two students, Safa and Sydney, achieving the highest possible score of 45, placing them in the top one per cent of IBDP candidates worldwide.

The pair’s results are all the more remarkably as they repeated the feat that their older sisters, Hagir and Matilda, earned in 2021.

There were also major accolades for IBDP graduates Doyoon and Bart who successfully achieved Bilingual Diplomas, in English and Korean and in English and Dutch respectively.

A total of 61 students at BIS Abu Dhabi studied for this year’s IBDP exams, with students accomplishing a 93 per cent pass rate.

Seven students are also placed in the top 10 per cent performing worldwide with an outstanding 40+ points from the maximum score of 45.

Speaking on the results Principal of BIS Abu Dhabi, Patrick Horne said;  “Over the last two years, our students have faced many challenges. Their resilience and strength have been inspiring. These results reflect their determination to succeed in their studies, and their commitment to their futures.

“They should be very proud of themselves, as all of us at The British International School are.  We see our success as a school reflected in our students’ potential and their willingness to be their personal best. It’s been a privilege to be a witness to that with our Class of 2022.”

This year’s results across Nord Anglia Education are well above the world average, with BIS Abu Dhabi students successfully achieving an average point score of 34 exceeding the global average score of 31.9. These results highlight and confirm BIS Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the most renowned IB Schools in the world.
