As we embark on the new academic year, we’re reflecting on the unique achievements that set our school apart, and we’re excited to share a few stories that show what makes our community so special.
A milestone in learning: Our first early-entry GCSE success
This year, we’re incredibly proud of Richard A., who became the first student at NAS Abu Dhabi to achieve an early-entry GCSE. Richard, now in Year 9, sat for his German GCSE while still in Year 8, and achieved a remarkable Grade 9.
His success is not just a testament to his hard work but also reflects the exceptional teaching and support from our dedicated team, like Ms. Nalla, who guided him through his studies, and Mrs Smith, our Head of World Languages, who is already preparing Richard for his next challenge: German A-Level.
A culture of high expectations and personalised learning
Richard’s achievement is just one example of the extraordinary progress our students are making.
At NAS Abu Dhabi, we personalise learning to help every student reach their full potential, whether through tailored academic pathways like early GCSE entries or innovative programmes like our World Languages Programme and DICE (Design, Innovation, Computing, and Enterprise).

Building confidence beyond the classroom
We believe a well-rounded education goes beyond academics. Our extensive Enrichment Activities Programme – from sports to the arts – helps students build confidence, resilience, and what we call the 6Cs: creativity, curiosity, collaboration, critical thinking, commitment and compassion, which are central to our education philosophy.
We’re proud of our students who take on leadership roles in school, excel in interschool competitions, and perform on stage, showcasing their talents and their love for learning.
Fostering a strong, inclusive community
As our parents, students, and staff often say, NAS Abu Dhabi feels like more than just a school: it’s a diverse, strong community – a family.
Even though the school has more than doubled in size since last year, it retains the same warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the sense of belonging is palpable.
Within just three weeks of the new term, we’ve already hosted several coffee mornings, ‘meet the teacher’ events, and our first, now-famous ‘Busking’ event.
We’re also launching a new parent association to bring families together and strengthen collaboration between the school and parents. And this is just the beginning: our team is busy planning a series of exciting events for the community to enjoy throughout the year. We’re building a community where every voice is heard, and every child can thrive.
