The inaugural Badminton Abu Dhabi Masters 2023 to kick-off soon

Racquets on, it’s time to get serving!

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the UAE Badminton Federation have announced the hosting of the inaugural Badminton Abu Dhabi Masters 2023.

Running from 17-22 October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) – Marina Hall, expect the most elite crop at the first international badminton tournament of its kind in Abu Dhabi.

With a prize fund of USD 120,000 up for grabs, 232 of the best male and female players representing 43 countries are all set to compete for the prestigious title.

The Abu Dhabi Masters Championship is set to be the gateway through which the Federation aspires to host more world championships in the coming years.

Samih Al Maysari, CEO of 316 Sports Services, says, “The tournament serves as a crucial milestone for players, offering prestigious points in the race towards the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Abu Dhabi Masters Championship is a platform for the best players in the Emirates, the Arab world and emerging Emirati talents, who will compete in five exciting competitions.”

The tournament will comprise 166 matches, in which male and female players will compete in five categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
