Travel update for UAE passengers to Ireland

England also removed the requirement for pre-departure test.

Are you travelling to Ireland anytime soon?

Well, you will not need a pre-departure PCR COVID-19 test in order to board the flight if you are fully vaccinated or if you have fully recovered from the coronavirus in the previous six months.

Passengers who do not have proof of this evidence will have to undergo a negative PCR test result 72 hours before their arrival to Ireland.

Ireland introduced the pre-departure PCR test at the start of December due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

Ireland follows England in removing the requirement for the need of a pre-departure PCR test.

The measure which came into effect last Friday (7 January) also sees travellers to England no longer needing to self-isolate until they receive a negative test result from their day two PCR.

However, a lateral-flow test must be undertaken.
