Abu Dhabi Police has been using its social media platforms to call on all drivers to give way to emergency vehicles to enhance the speed of response time to accidents.

The police also warned motorists that if they impeded the movements of emergency vehicles and thus reducing response times, especially when assisting those in need or extinguishing fires, violators will be hit with a fine of up to AED 3,000, and have their vehicle impound for 30 days and six black points.

Motorists in Abu Dhabi city have been advised that one of the busiest roads will be closed from Wednesday 20 January.
The emirate’s transport authorities announced that Al Hisn Street towards the Corniche area will be closed until 6 February which will cause some traffic congestion in the area.
