The holiday will take place this weekend.
Dates for the Islamic New Year holiday have been announced by The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE).
This Saturday (30 July) will be an official paid holiday for all private sector employees in the UAE on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, 1444 AH.
The announcement is great news for workers in the retail and hospitality sectors who will benefit from an extra holiday, but for those working Monday to Friday, it will be a day missed.
