Are you in the mood for movies? Do you fancy a trip down memory lane? Welcome to Cinema Space where you can discover wonderful new cinema and classic masterpieces, share and experience these discoveries with an entire community of movie lovers.
Started in 2014 and located on Saadiyat Island, Cinema Space is a fully voluntary and independent initiative to share beautifully restored classics and contemporary world cinema through free community screenings for audiences and enthusiasts in Abu Dhabi.

Explore outstanding films and storytelling by iconic directors as well as talented new filmmakers, and an eclectic selection of films including double features, retrospectives, surprise screenings and spotlights on film genre, talent and more.
Some old-school classics are coming up and tonight, from 7.30 pm, it’s a surprise screening where all details of the movie remain top secret. Rest assured though it will be an extraordinary, compelling, thought-provoking and outstanding film!
This Sunday 20 August may the force be with you as Star Wars: A New Hope hits the screens. Starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness and Peter Mayhew this 1977 classic introduced the world to a galaxy far, far away.

Then on Monday 21 August proceedings turn more modern as actors Paul Mescal, Frankie Croio, Celia Rowlson-Hall star in After-Sun, a standout of 2022, which portrays a father-daughter relationship, set over the course of a 1990s holiday.
Cinema Space plays host to a number of other iconic movies later in the month including Bellissima (24 August), Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (27 August), Emergency Declaration (28 August) and The Last Stage (31 August).
So if you’re still waiting around for pay day and looking for something to do for free then a trip to Cinema Space is a must, make sure you pop by!
All in-person screenings as well as online viewings, where available, are free and open to audiences. RSVP is mandatory due to limited seating.
