PARTNER CONTENT: Save the dates for the best family time at an eco market! From 29-30 October, head to Outdoor Plaza at Warehouse421 for the most sustainable, fun, and eco-conscious time.
Running from 5pm to 10pm, Playing with Nature is a two-day event celebrating sustainability and eco-conscious practices. What’s more, it’s free and open to all, including your furry friends.
With crafty workshops, a lot of eco-friendly food vendors, live performances by local artists, bands and musicians, and an exciting raffle – this market is the complete package.
Alongside F&B outlets like 21grams, Moreish by K, The Ice Cream Shop, and more, Playing With Nature also aims to bring together locally-based artists, artisans, craftsmen, creatives and educators to present activities and products, including local farms, eco-friendly fashion, traditional crafts and so much more.
Participating eco-brands include the likes of Studio Meru, The Alchemy of Dyeing, My Backyard Chronicles, F7 Antiques, Oh So Soap, Woodstock, Studio Passepartout, Fastoun, Studio Coe, Gulf Photo Plus, and Sharjah Architectural Triennial Design Store.

All for the Gram? Then this culturally immersive nature photowalk in the Warehouse421 neighbourhood is perfect for you. on 29 October. Titled ‘Routes of Mina Zayed’, this workshop provides a combination of theoretical training and hands-on practice. Attendees will learn the etiquette of street photography, which covers how to photograph subjects and transmit the feeling and the narrative of wild and domesticated plants.
Starting from the fruit and vegetable market at Mina Zayed, travel through the plant souq and explore the natural flora around the abandoned warehouses.

YallaPlay Zone for Children and Families
Anytime between 4pm-8pm on both days
This space focuses on families reconnecting through fun sensory experiences. These sessions follow the Montessori method and include nature-inspired dance, movement, mindful reconnection with the body and interactive storytime. Apart from learning to let your children have more autonomy, these sessions also hope to encourage intergenerational play, bringing communities and families together.
