Backstreet Boys to perform at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi

Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson will return to the UAE for a one-night concert.

One of the best-selling boy bands of all time is heading to Abu Dhabi for a one-night concert at Etihad Arena. That’s right, the Backstreet Boys will bring their catchy tunes and iconic dance moves to the capital on May 7 as part of their DNA World Tour.

The world tour, which has already visited the likes of Madrid, Munich, Budapest, London and Las Vegas, was scheduled to conclude on 15 March in Hong Kong, but new dates announced on Thursday will now see the group also perform in the Middle East, South Africa and India in May.

Giving fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the world tour preparations, the Backstreet Boys have also released the first episode of the new docu series Making Of The DNA Tour. New episodes will be available on The Backstreet Boys YouTube channel.

The Middle East leg of the world tour will kick off in Cairo, Egypt, on May 1, with stops in Mumbai (May 4) and Delhi (May 5) in India, before proceeding to Abu Dhabi on May 7. The band will also perform in Bahrain (May 9), Jeddah (May 11), Tel Aviv (May 13), Cape Town (May 16), and wrap up in Pretoria (May 19).

For fans in Abu Dhabi who’ve followed them since the 1990s, it’s going to be a night of pure nostalgia with the band that produced hits such as “I Want It That Way”, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” and “As Long As You Love Me”, but the Backstreet Boys remain relevant as ever even with younger audiences through chart-topping music from their 2019 album “DNA”.

Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson will be back in the UAE since performing in Dubai in 2018. The band is taking its DNA World Tour to Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, before heading to the Middle East in May.

The Backstreet Boys have released 10 studio albums, which have collectively sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

Tickets for the Abu Dhabi concert will be available on sale at 12 pm on Friday, 24 February, from www.livenation.me.
