Parents in Abu Dhabi can now monitor their kids’ school bus trips
More parents in Abu Dhabi can now monitor if their kids arrived at school or not as the SALMA app, expands its scopes across more schools in Abu Dhabi.
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) launched the smart application back in October 2023. The app allows parents to monitor bus trips to and from school in real-time.
SALAMA, the name of the app, records students’ attendance and also enables parents to communicate directly with bus supervisors and operators.
The app was developed in collaboration with ADEK as part of a unified system for managing school transportation.

The app has now been rolled out to also cover government schools, and some nurseries across Abu Dhabi following the app’s success.
The app can also be used to check the estimated arrival time at school or home through notifications.
The initiative will help evaluate the performance of school transport staff by tracking pick-up and drop-off times, considering traffic congestion as well as the start time and end time of students’ trips to and from schools.
Spread across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra region, the app is sure to be a sigh of relief for all parents and ensure kids are safer.!
