Abu Dhabi’s quest to become one of the leading ‘smart cities’ in the world has received a positive boost with a local artificial intelligence-powered geospatial data products and services provider announcing a new space deal for satellites.

Bayanat not only specialise in geospatial space but also lead the way in smart mobility and smart cities. The cutting-edge company uses Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) which is an imaging technology that offers capabilities to capture complex elements, including location, distance, speed, and direction of movement source of data.

Making use of this highly advanced system, they hope to add many more intriguing products to their services to help bolster the capital’s drive towards becoming the city of the future.

Abu Dhabi recently flexed their AI muscles when they supplied free rides in self-driving taxis during the the Eid Al Adha holiday back in June. Visitors to places such as Saadiyat Island and Yas Island took advantage of the completely free self-driving vehicle service called Txai.

The booming tourism hub of Yas Island has also just added another exciting and interactive feature to their services that allows people from around the world to enjoy a virtual experience and explore all it has to offer.
