Time to ditch the rash driving urges as new traffic radars have been activated near exits and crossroads in Abu Dhabi.
Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), this initiative by Abu Dhabi Police will help in automatically detecting violations at pedestrian crossings and road exits.

Called ‘EXIT-I’, the solar-powered system can detect motorists who overtake in front of the intersection triangle, cut in line at exits or obstruct the flow of traffic.

The latest in a slew of moves to keep the roads of the UAE capital safer, Abu Dhabi Police said the main aim of these new devices is to enhance road safety and highlight the importance of complying with traffic rules.
The new traffic radar is a great way of alerting drivers about the importance of following traffic rules to preserve their safety and the safety of other road users, and reduce traffic accidents.
