Remote learning returns to UAE

The news follows the reintroduction of the border.

Remote learning will take place for the first two weeks of the new school term it has been announced.

The decision taken by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee will see all students at both public and private schools in the emirate, including training institutes, colleges and universities, be taught online rather than in the classroom.

During the fortnight, ongoing PCR testing campaigns will increase for education sector personnel and the situation will continue to be monitored to update protocols for the return to in-school learning.

 

 

The committee also urged parents, academic and administrative staff to receive their booster doses as the emirate looks to limit the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

The news comes after it was announced the border was to be reintroduced into the emirate.
Effective from Thursday 30 December, those entering the emirate will need to display a green pass on their Al Hosn app.
Those who are unvaccinated must show a negative PCR test result taken within 96 hours.
