Flights continue to the seven countries.

Travellers from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique will no longer be able to enter the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, from 29 November, according to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and the General Civil Aviation Authority.

The decision does not affect those flying from the UAE to the seven countries with flights still being continued.

The move is part of efforts by the authorities to contain the spread of a new COVID-19 variant.

Recently, UAE authorities urged UAE residents to remain in the UAE for the festive season, after cases of COVID-19 begin to rise in Europe.
