The future of law enforcement is coming to the capital, and it’s looking pretty cool!

In 2025, Abu Dhabi is taking innovation to the next level, and the Abu Dhabi Police just dropped a game-changer: self-driving police cars equipped with AI and high-tech gadgets that could make even James Bond jealous.

Unveiled for the first time at IDEX 2025, these futuristic vehicles aren’t just about cruising the streets.

No, they’re loaded with features like 360-degree coverage cameras, infrared vision, and anti-disturbance systems that make them smarter than your average patrol car.

Add in GPS systems to keep them on track, and they’re ready to zoom around residential and tough neighborhoods, keeping things safe and sound.

These AI-powered beauties come with a holding room that features an integrated biomark monitoring system (yep, that’s some sci-fi stuff right there).

And just when you thought it couldn’t get cooler – the car has an aircraft drone box and can even deploy specialised robots! These robots are probably more capable than your robot vacuum, and we can’t wait to see what they can do.

Developed under the umbrella of the Council of Self-propelled Intelligent Systems in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Kintsugi Company and Edge Company, this is all part of the emirate’s grand vision to integrate the most cutting-edge tech into everyday life.

While we don’t know exactly when these patrol cars will hit the streets, we do know they’re a glimpse into the future of public safety.

At the big reveal, Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al-Khoury, Director of the Corporate Development and Decision Support Sector, proudly shared that these high-tech vehicles are just one example of how Abu Dhabi Police is pushing boundaries to keep the city safer.

These cars are part of an ongoing shift toward futuristic law enforcement that started last year with a robot rollout – including one that looks shockingly human-like. But before you picture a fleet of self-driving cars zooming around like in a sci-fi movie, here’s the twist.

These high-tech vehicles are actually set to assist with educational events. They’ll be out and about, not chasing criminals, but helping spread the word about traffic laws, warning us about dangerous behaviour, and keeping us all informed on how to stay safe on the roads.

So, get ready for a whole new era of law enforcement that’s smart, futuristic, and ready to serve in ways we never imagined!
