Cool news! Abu Dhabi’s new climate-controlled walkway means breezy strolls, even in the summer heat

Yes, you read that right! Abu Dhabi now has an outdoor walkway with full air-conditioning.

In a city that knows a thing or two about heat, this latest innovation is a total game-changer.

Located in Al Nahyan near the Al Mamoura building, the capital’s first-ever climate-controlled pedestrian path is designed to keep temperatures at a crisp 24°C, no matter how scorching it gets outside.

But don’t picture just another air-conditioned tunnel – this futuristic walkway is built for comfort and style.

Natural sunlight filters through, keeping things bright and airy, while advanced cooling tech ensures every step feels refreshingly cool.

And it’s not just about getting from A to B; with cafés, retail outlets, and outdoor seating, you can now sip your coffee or shop in total comfort year-round.

Worried about the hum of A/C units? No need. The walkway is fitted with high-tech sound insulation, meaning peace and quiet come as standard.

And this is only the beginning.

The Department of Municipalities and Transport has big plans to roll out even more climate-conscious innovations across Abu Dhabi.

Fully air-conditioned streets next? We’re here for it.

Stay tuned!
