UAE Advisory: Abu Dhabi rain warning issued again

Motorists be warned! There’s a yellow weather alert issued for rains in some parts of Abu Dhabi

It’s time to whip out those umbrellas once more with rain alerts issued in some parts of Abu Dhabi.

If the scorching weather was getting you down, these showers albeit with a yellow weather alert are sure to raise your spirits. Videos have already begun surfacing online showcasing rain in parts of Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

The rain alert is expected to affect some more Eastern and Southern areas and winds may reach a speed of 40kmph according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Based on the NCM advisory, the yellow warning will be in place until 7pm today.

Overall, today’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy — with low clouds blanketing the east coast this morning, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said.

Temperatures are expected to be lower compared to mercury readings over the past few days — likely to hit a high of 46 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi and 44 degrees Celsius in Dubai.

Humidity will rise again this evening, continuing until Friday morning in some coastal areas.

Winds are light to moderate but may turn active and hit 40kmph. Waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be light.

It’s certainly shaping up to be an interesting summer!
