Get hit for six at the Zayed Cricket Academy’s new season

The new season begins on 29 August.

School is around the corner and to fight off those blues, Abu Dhabi Cricket is going to bowl your children over with the new season of the Zayed Cricket Academy (ZCA).

Beginning on 29 August, the season is split into three terms; 29 August to 26 November; 2 January to 25 March; and 17 April to 8 July.

The weekly Girls Power session continues for girls aged 19 and under this season, while mixed sessions are run at all age groups from U6 to U19 to provide equal opportunities for everyone at the academy which is open six days-a-week.

Prices for the camps start at AED 600 for a full term and you can sign up at booking.abudhabicricket.ae.

Earlier in 2022, nine ZCA players were called up to UAE youth national team camps, while the inaugural ZCA Premier League gave players a taste of international professional franchise cricket.

This year has seen ZCA hold a spring camp with Eoin Morgan and Paul Stirling, and player masterclasses from Sir Alastair Cook and Tom Banton.

Some of ZCA’s U13, U16 and U19 players are currently touring the UK and India in the lead-up to the new terms, while there are summer camps being run for U16 and U19 players.

Speaking on the announcement of the new season, Abu Dhabi Cricket CEO, Matt Boucher said; “Our dual target is to promote participation and fun at junior levels, while providing the best-in-class facilities for our elite players to harness their ambitions and, ultimately, represent both Team Abu Dhabi and the UAE men’s and women’s national teams.

“This is the best Academy in the country for cricketers to develop thanks to our world-class coaching and unrivalled playing opportunities. We also provide an environment that is inclusive, welcoming, fun and completely transparent, which is why hundreds of parents trust us with their children every day.”
