The PCR test requirements are now the same as air-travel passengers.
Those travelling into the UAE via a land border point will no longer have to present a negative PCR test result it has been announced.
Effective from today (3 March), travellers entering the UAE by road will be under the same protocols as inbound air-travel passengers who also are not required to undergo a pre-departure PCR test before arriving into the country.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) who announced the measure said travellers must present a vaccination certificate with a QR code and have advised travellers to get within 24 hours if they plan to stay more than 72 hours.

Unvaccinated arrivals into the UAE must present a negative PCR test not exceeding 48 hours on their arrival at the border or a COVID-19 recovery certificate dated within one month that possess a QR code.
The news follows the relaxation of a number of COVID-19 precautionary measures on 26 February saw the scrapping of the green list with inbound passengers to Abu Dhabi not having to undergo a pre-departure PCR test before coming to the capital or take a follow-up PCR test on day six of their visit.
Among other changes, facemasks are now optional if you are in outdoor spaces and those in close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus will no longer have to quarantine but instead undergo PCR tests daily for five consecutive days.
